Volunteer dentists treat DDS patients in their own offices where they can work more efficiently with their own equipment, supplies, and staff.

In each state at least one program coordinator is responsible for determining that applicants are either disabled, elderly or medically compromised and have no other way for paying for dental care.

* Licensee programs exist in states where the NFDH licenses another organization, usually the state dental association or their charitable organization, to operate DDS.

** National DDS programs assist people in states where sanctioned programs may not exist.

  Purple States have individual DDS programs,  green states were served through the National DDS program fiscal year 2006-2007.

I need financial assistance to help pay for my college education

I am a 45 year old woman in my second year of college at Washington State Community in Marietta,Ohio.  I just lost my job this past Friday.  I have this year and next year to go in order to receive my Associate Degree in Medical Transcription.  I desperately need financial assistance.  My federal grant for this quarter that begins on September 12th only covered my tuition, it didn't even cover my books. This is my last chance for a higher education.  If I can't continue this time, I will simply give up.  I just cannot continue losing everything that I have or that I try to accomplish.
